The Scottish Album of the Year Award

The Scottish Album Of The Year Award is a prestigious arts prize produced by the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA). The awards were held at my home town, in Paisley Town Hall. For this commission I was asked to create a bespoke piece of artwork for each shortlisted artist. Each piece featured an embroidered soundwave from each shortlisted artist's hero song, celebrating Scottish music and Paisley's textile heritage. With the use of different metallic and iridescent fabrics and threads I fused these together to create a special, framed award for all the artists to treasure.
