My years as a child involved travelling to different cities and towns depending on where my father was based in his job. One thing that has always fascinated me since my childhood is the diverse architecture and beautiful landscapes around us. My luxurious fabrics and interior furnishings are inspired by the overlooked visual varieties found in the historic buildings, the modern office blocks and the beautiful views in many cities of this world. These visual findings are a constant theme involved in my design work. After graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design with my Honours Degree in Textiles and an award from The Dyers trade of Dundee for "Best use of Colour", I exhibited my fabric collection at "New Designers" at The Business Design Centre in London. Shortly after that in February 2018 I applied for the Creative Business programme with Incube Renfrewshire and Obsidian Ore was launched in July! Since then I have had the amazing experience of winning a competition to make and design the awards for The Scottish Album of the Year Award 2018.

Obsidian Ore’s number one aim is to bring iridescence, metallic textures and the colour green into your home.  From the new and modern in Berlin to the old and decorative in Glasgow, follow Obsidian Ore’s journey, city to city.
